Always Show Google Search Options

Google recently introduced a new ‘Search Options’ panel in its search results pages that allows you to filter out search results on the basis of time, or type of content available in web pages. I’ve been using it for some time and I’ve really found the Search Options panel indispensable.

Add Real Time Search Options to Google Search

Real time search is what everyone wants these days. Google does provide options using which you can restrict search results to web pages published within a specific time frame (like 24 hrs, a week, etc.). All you need to do is go to the advanced search options page to specify the date range. Doing this everytime you do a Google search is pesky and that’s when a Greasemonkey script comes handy.

Make Google Reader show the Item Entry Title in the Title Bar

For some reason, I’ve always wanted this feature on Google Reader. The Google Reader page’s title is pretty static – it just says ‘Google Reader’ and shows the number of unread items. Suppose you’re reading a new entry on Google Reader, the title bar doesn’t reflect that item’s title.

15 Useful Greasemonkey Scripts for Del.icio.us Users

I’m a huge fan of Del.icio.us, and I use it quite a lot to bookmark web pages for later reference. I know there are quite a lot of people who use the service everyday.

This is a list of about 15 Greasemonkey scripts for Del.icio.us. Some of these add functional enhancements. Others add interface enhancements and some others integrate other services like Ma.gnolia with Del.icio.us.

In order to be able to use these scripts, you need to have Firefox installed with the Greasemonkey Extension. Once you have gotten those, just click the Download link near the Greasemonkey script for the installation to happen.

Set Reminders inside Gmail with G Alert Greasemonkey Script

G Alert is a Greasemonkey based tool for Firefox that lets you set reminders inside Gmail. Basically, you tell G Alerts to remind you of something, set the time, and then a pop up window comes up reminding you of the task you’ve set – all this happens inside your Gmail window.
