I tried for years to get Windows to work for these connections but their offering is just impenetrable to me. I have been using 3rd party remote desktop software for years and despite the positive buzz around Windows 7, I will not be going back anytime soon.

I have the home Premium edition and would like to know what I need to have to get the remote tool. Is there a patch or do I have to upgrade to a different edition of W-7?

Artie, does the win 7 PC have a static IP address on the LAN? If not, it's IP address may have changed since you configured the port forwarding in your router. For example, my router has port 3389 forwarded to a static IP address of, say, 192.168.1.55. Whatever PC has that IP address (only one can have that address), will receive the RDC connection. Good luck
