Get Dictionary Meanings on Google Talk quickly

without comments

imageLast week, we wrote about @twitlookup, a Twitter bot that can look up meanings and definitions for you via Twitter. Now, Keith D’Souza has created another bot that works from Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM and Windows Live Messenger and helps you find meanings.

Just add the following as per your choice and then type dict word to get the meaning for a particular word. That’s about it.

  • Gtalk/Jabber – lookup@bot.im
  • AIM – tblookupbot@aim.com
  • Windows Live Hotmail / MSN – lookupbot@live.com
  • Yahoo Messenger - lookupbot@yahoo.com

You can type help for more options. Only the Google Talk bot is online currently, though the other bots should be up soon after some issues are sorted out.
