Get Skins for iTunes
iTunes is a very buggy media player on Windows. It lacks essential features that people really need, as mentioned in the Fix iTunes article. iTunes doesn’t allow you to customize its look as well. There aren’t any iTunes skins available, so you’ll have to stick to the elegant, but boring default look of iTunes.

Not anymore if you can install SkiniTunes. Funny name, I’d say. But it’s a nice little app that can be used to skin iTunes quickly and with ease. Not the big iTunes window, really. But, only the mini player. Well, at least you have something better. Here are some screenshots of the iTunes mini player that has been enhanced with SkiniTunes:

With SkiniTunes installed, the mini player displays the album artwork in addition to general track information. It doesn’t end there. The SkiniPlayer can fetch lyrics automatically as well. You can also assign global hotkeys (here’s how you can do that with another app) and get a bunch of other features if you shell out some bucks for the pro version. See the comparison between the free and the pro version.
They’ve got a big iTunes skins library out there, so you have plenty of choices. It’s an app worth giving a try, if your primary media player on Windows is iTunes.
