A new day. A dozen apps. A dozen installs and then uninstalls. You should have heard of several virtual desktop managers, sticky note apps for your Windows desktop. All such apps improve productivity and there’s no doubt about that.

Why not you take a look at the following apps as well? These are very tiny, friendly, and free, yet very unique software that could save your precious time. Check them out:

Hot Corners can be used to assign a task to every corner of your desktop. For example, you can use it to minimize all windows when your cursor moves to the bottom right corner.

Fences can organize desktop icons into many sections. Besides helping you manage clutter, it helps you launch apps quickly as all these sections can be labelled clearly.

Desktop List View is another clutter killer that enables list view on your desktop like you have in Win Explorer. It’s a must-have if you can’t get a glimpse of your wallpaper because of too many icons.

Desk Drive checks if you’ve inserted any flash drive into your USB ports and puts an icon to reach it straight from your desktop so that you needn’t open several windows to access it.

Shock Desktop can save desktop icon positions and restore them later. You might have your icons arranged in a manner that’s convenient to you, but when you apply a theme, the icon positions are lost. That’s when this app may come handy.
