McAfee’s Stinger – Conficker Removal Tool

We posted about the Conficker worm recently and also gave you instructions on how to go about removing the Conficker Worm using apps like Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool and Symantec’s Conficker removal tools.

Now, Techie Buzz has brought into light another Conficker removal tool released by renowned anti-virus and security company McAfee. They’ve released a Conficker removal tool by the name Stinger which scans and removes 11 trojans and their variants, including Conficker.

    Good article. Sophos’ Conficker removal tool can detect and remove all variants of the worm/virus.

    As long as people run these tools it should stop any serious outbreak.

  5. I cannot link to any of these site as my computer is directed to another site or I get a “failed to connect” message. How can I get directly to the mcafee site or other direct link to stinger??
