Make Google Reader show the Item Entry Title in the Title Bar
For some reason, I’ve always wanted this feature on Google Reader. The Google Reader page’s title is pretty static – it just says ‘Google Reader’ and shows the number of unread items. Suppose you’re reading a new entry on Google Reader, the title bar doesn’t reflect that item’s title.
![]()
Installing this Greasemonkey script changes the title bar behaviour. Suppose you open a new item – the title of the entry can be immediately seen on the Title bar as well. Kinda useful when you’re on another tab, and want to see what you were reading from there.

That’s great use of Greasmonkey. You are all right, it’s a headeache to be hitting back the browser to see what you were actually reading. Thanks for all the sleuthing work!

Nice Script!
But it works only for ‘.com’ version of Google reader. In my case, its google.co.in.
So I have to change the “included pages” in grease monkey to suit my needs.
Anyway, nice find. Thank you, Shankar.
