How to download songs as MP3 from Muxtape?
Muxtape created waves recently. Muxtape is a site that allows you to upload around 12 songs and share them with others easily. You can sort your songs and create playlists and share your Muxtape URLs with others. You can easily go to a Muxtape URL, click on a song and begin listening.

Please be advised that Muxtape doesn’t allow you to upload “multiple songs from the same album or artist or songs [you] do not have permission to let Muxtape use”.
In case you’re wondering if there’s a way to download a song from Muxtape, there isn’t. However, you could easily download every song you see on Muxtape as an MP3 file to your hard drive – with a Greasemonkey addon for Firefox.
How to Download songs as MP3 from Muxtape?
First, install the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox by downloading it from here.

Restart Firefox. Then, grab the Muxtape Downloader Greasemonkey script by clicking on the ‘Install this Script’ button on this page.

Now, when you go to a Muxtape URL, you should see a little ‘Download’ link under every song’s title. Click on that, it’ll take you to the MP3 version of the song which you can download to your computer.

Just make sure you add .MP3 to your downloaded file, in order that it can be played.
So that’s how you download songs from Muxtape to your hard drive as MP3 files. Simply awesome, isn’t it?

@Captain Jack: Well, imeem is kinda more social. Muxtape is simple and quick. This technique, however, will not work on imeem.
@Syahid: Glad you liked it.

Hehe. Cool stuff, although I kinda feel bad for MuxTape now…
Seems like there’s no way to put music anywhere on the internet without getting entangled in a lawsuit eventually.
