You are thinking about an external hard drive. Pen drives only go to about 32GB or 64GB max.

In response to the earlier comment about a pen drive not being big enough to hold a music collection- you can get a 350 GB drive or a 1 TB drive. That is big enough for two ipods- and more music than I’ll ever listen to.

I use a 4 gig sandisk cruzer micro I got for 20 bucks comes with all kinds of neat portable apps skype, firefox, crurzersync and you can download all kinds of more free apps

To no.4, Microsoft said the Vista version of using a pen drive for RAM would eventually kill the drive but after around 10 years.

I have been using ebooster…No4… since its early days with a 4Gb Sony USB Micro Drive with XP, and it runs extremely well, it was originally developed for XP and am not sure if a Vista version has been released yet, definately recommended.

Not sure if someone mentioned this already, but I read somewhere that you can use the memory stick as cache memory. (This is the fast memory used to hold the most frequently needed instructions being used by the processor).
