Is the ‘Send To’ Menu opening up too slow in Windows?
January 21, 2008 · Posted in problems and solutions
Everytime you right click and select the ‘Send To’ menu it takes ages to load. If the Send To menu is opening up slow when you right click on icons or files, it’s time you fix things right.
Here’s how you can make a slow-loading Send To menu load fast in Windows.
- First, open the Run command by going to Start >> Run
- Type sendto and hit Enter
- A new window should open up listing the items that appear in your slow Send To menu
- Delete all the unwanted items present there, they’re the cause for the slow loading Send To menu
- If this doesn’t solve the problem, you’ll have to open Windows Explorer, go to Tools >> Folder Options >> and under the ‘View’ Tab, uncheck ‘Automatically search for network folders and printers’
That’s how you fix the slow loading ‘Send To’ menu in Windows. If you still find your computer running slowly, you can try these programs to fix your computer.

@TheAnand: Uh oh! I’m aware of the partial feed issue, and I’m trying hard to find what’s causing it. You’ll be getting full feeds soon

I thought it was somewhere in the registry…
Really cool tip !!
Thanks
i noticed it right now. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the tip
The tip does not work on Vista.
I need the things in SendTo, and running “sendto” command fails, because it is looking for the english folder-name, and my Vista is in Danish.
Also, there is no “Automatically search…” item under folder options in Vista.
